The meeting enabled companies and trade unions and professional organizations to provide initial feedback on their commitments on this subject.
According to three surveys carried out by the MEDEF, 90% of the companies questioned have taken energy conservation measures during the winter. Several companies detailed, during the working group, the measures implemented: lower temperatures, installation of energy consumption management devices, reduction of lighting, organization of general telework days to close sites, process reviews to reduce energy consumption…
Olivier Dussopt and Agnès Pannier-Runacher welcomed the actions initiated by the “Les entreprises s’engage” community, which has set up an online platform “I am committed to energy sobriety”, on which companies can publicly register their commitments. 800 companies have registered on this platform. These are mainly SMEs, from all over France. The main commitments concern (1) the fight against energy waste, (2) energy efficiency measures, (3) sustainable mobility.
The ministers also welcomed the commitment of the biggest players, and in particular the CAC 40 companies, which have all drawn up a sobriety plan, the monitoring of which must now be ensured precisely.
They also recalled the support of the State to accompany companies in their process of sobriety, through various mechanisms: support for the installation of technical building management systems via Energy Saving Certificates; daily carpooling plan to allow the greatest number of French people, and therefore employees, to change their travel habits; “Baisse les Watts” program dedicated specifically to supporting 245,000 VSEs and SMEs so that they can better control their energy consumption.
During this meeting, the participants underlined the growing importance of environmental concerns within companies, whether it is a question of raising awareness among employees of the actions to be taken or of strengthening exchanges between the social partners.
The actors reiterated their commitment to energy sobriety measures, and will be fully involved in Act 2 of the sobriety plan.
Olivier Dussopt said: “ Work organizations are now fully aware of the need to integrate sobriety issues into their daily operations. Beyond the collective challenge of achieving a reduction in our energy consumption, there is a certain challenge of competitiveness, which can also create jobs. Moreover, in a society that thinks more and more about the meaning of work, an organization that meets environmental challenges is necessarily more in line with the expectations of citizens at work. »
Agnès Pannier-Runacher said: “ Act 1 of the corporate sobriety plan is a success. Many of them have made it a subject of social dialogue and have been able to involve their employees who are committed to reducing their energy consumption at work. Now, Act 2 should make it possible to definitively anchor these changes in habits, behavior and organization of work. Mobilization must continue and grow. »
