Turkish media reported that the local mayor, Mehmet Cinar, said a father and daughter were trapped after they entered a damaged building to retrieve their belongings.
Television footage showed the man being carried on a stretcher to an ambulance while rescue workers tried to contact his daughter inside the damaged building.
AFAD noted that nearly 10,000 aftershocks have occurred after the devastating February 6 quake. Some 173,000 buildings are believed to have suffered damage according to local media reports.
Turkish media have vocally criticized the developer for using poor materials and failing to comply with construction rules.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced plans to rebuild 270,000 homes in destroyed provinces within a year.
