Last year Daugavpils satiksme concluded a contract for the supply of 6 electric buses. As the city management informs, one of them will soon arrive in Daugavpils.

The first electric bus produced for the needs of Daugavpils will arrive in the city already in March! A total of 6 have been ordered! such buses, but already in autumn, long buses will appear on routes 12 (Križi) and 17 (Jauna Forštdate). With these improvements, the city’s bus fleet will be completely renewed.

As part of the project, AS “Daugavpils satiksme” 12.07.2022. concluded an agreement with the association of individuals “Scania Baltics” for the delivery of 6 new Scania Citywide LF BEV (electric) buses, 2 buses will be allocated from the project. All new buses will be equipped with air conditioning equipment, visual boards and audio systems, clearly understandable markings and pictograms will be placed. Buses will be convenient for people with special needs, limited mobility, mothers with prams.
The project for the purchase of new buses for the city is planned to be implemented by the end of this year. The total cost of the project is €3,240,000.00, of which the Cohesion Fund’s co-financing of the project is €2,754,000.00.
Scania Citywide LF BEV technical parameters:
- Power: maximum 300kW, continuous 250kW
- Torque: 2100 Nm
- Energy consumption: 0.75-1.5 kWh/km
- Battery capacity: 264 or 330 kWh
- Vehicle height: 3.30 m
