The funding of ‘Six Star Gate: Start Rail’ exceeded 1,000% of the target amount of KRW 6 million, successfully raising more than KRW 65 million.
‘Six Star Gate: Start Rail’, which is about to be released on March 16, is a keyboard-type rhythm game with the concept of space voyage. Indie game development team ‘Lyrebird Studio’ was established through corporate conversion and Starlike is in charge of development. This game is unique in that it has 4 blue lanes and 2 red lanes, and an additional lane, ‘gate lane’, appears during the performance to provide a three-dimensional performance.
The switch version of ‘Six Star Gate: Start Rail’ is being produced as a sheet music exclusively for the switch, and a new gear skin is added along with shift notes, a new control system using an analog stick. Here, various new modes are added, such as Outer Space Mode, which is similar to the License Mode but features original patterns, and Adventure Mode, which features the story of Ausfluke, a ship adventuring the Six Star planetary system.
Six Star Gate: Start Rail will first introduce the PC version through Steam Early Access in November 2021, and this will release the first console version. The funding for the physical package for the switch version reached 100% in less than an hour after it started, and on February 25, the funding was successful with the achievement rate of 1,000%. Currently, it is close to 1,100%, and a total of over 65.9 million won has been raised.
Starlike, the developer, said, “When we first set the target amount, we talked about wanting it to be doubled, but we never dreamed that we would achieve 1,000%.”
In addition, Starlike announced that they would do Korean and Japanese dubbing of the story content ‘Adventure Mode’ to commemorate the successful funding. In Korea, Haru Kim, who plays the role of ‘Walnut’ in Genshin Impact, participates, and in Japan, Lisa Kageyama, who participated in the dubbing of the mermaid in the corner of the room, is known to participate.
