Kent Hughes made an interesting trade today, he who was able to trade forward Evgenii Dadonov to the Dallas Stars, in return for Denis Gurianov.
The latter is a 25-year-old striker with some potential, but who has been experiencing a lot of difficulties lately.
With the Stars, the Russian has amassed only nine points in 43 games this season, and he was probably not in the good graces of his coach.
Since the start of the campaign, Gurianov has averaged just over 12 minutes per game.
It was therefore difficult for him to gain confidence in his game and to develop in such conditions.
It must be said that since his arrival in the NHL, the first-round pick in 2015 has shown great things, especially in the playoffs, when his team lost in the final.
It will therefore be interesting to see how the latter will react with the CH, he who risks having greater responsibilities with the many injuries in Montreal.
Martin St-Louis will certainly give him the chance to play big minutes and we can therefore expect great things from him.
