Former Adjutant Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu, has officially become a convict in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadier J). Today the prosecutor will execute Eliezer’s 18 month prison sentence and will be placed in Salemba Lapas.
“For the implementation of the elizer execution, it will be moved to Central Jakarta Lapas (Salemba), the implementation will be carried out today, Monday 27 February 2023 at around 13.00 WIB,” South Jakarta Prosecutor Syarief Sulaeman told reporters, Monday (27/2/2023) .
The execution will take place this afternoon. He said the execution was carried out so that the convict could get his rights.
“Implementation of this execution to ensure the rights of convicts can be fully used,” he said.
It is known, Eliezer was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. The verdict has permanent or inrah legal force because neither the public prosecutor nor Eliezer’s party filed an appeal.
The thought period for Bharada Eliezer’s sentence has expired because the provisions are seven days after the verdict is read. South Jakarta District Court Public Relations official Djuyamto said the deadline for filing an appeal was 24.00 WIB last night. According to him, the verdict will be inrah if there is no appeal filed by the prosecutor or lawyer.
“So, if by 24.00 WIB tonight (last night) there is no appeal from the public prosecutor, then the decision is inrah,” Djuyamto told reporters, last Wednesday (22/2).
