Katulampa Dam on Alert III This Morning, DKI Residents Asked to Be Alert for Floods

BPBD DKI Jakarta conveys the development of the water level (TMA) in Bendung Katulampau, Bogor, which is now on standby III status. Residents of DKI Jakarta on the banks of the river are requested flood alert.

The DKI Jakarta BPBD issued a flood alert warning on its official Twitter account, Monday (27/2/2023). The water level in the Katulampa Dam at 06.00 WIB is 100 cm or Alert III.

“Disaster early warning system (DEWS) information for riverbank residents, due to the increase in the Katulampa Weir (alert/alert 3),” wrote the DKI Jakarta BPBD.

Meanwhile, the weather around the Katulampa Dam was drizzling. Officers have appealed to residents of Jakarta, especially in areas along the river, to be on the lookout for flooding.

“Residents along the river banks are advised to be vigilant and careful about the danger of flooding,” he added.
