Today, Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca visited the Emirati field hospital in the Turkish city of Gaziantep, which was established as part of Operation “The Gallant Knight 2” led by the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense.
The Turkish minister was received by Brigadier General Doctor Sarhan Al Neyadi, Commander of the Medical Services Corps, and a number of medical and therapeutic staff at the hospital.
During the visit, the Turkish Minister of Health was briefed on the hospital’s departments, its capabilities, and its medical, nursing, technical, and administrative cadres.
Staff Brigadier General Dr. Sarhan Al Neyadi confirmed that the medical staff in the hospital are working to provide the best medical and treatment services to the Turkish casualties as a result of the earthquake, under the directives of the wise leadership. He noted the continuation of work in the field hospital after the Joint Operations Command announced the transition of Operation “The Gallant Knight 2” from the response phase. Rapid recovery and rehabilitation to support earthquake-affected friends in Turkey.
It is noteworthy that the field hospital was built on an area of 40,000 square meters and includes 50 beds and 4 intensive care beds. It is considered the first and largest field hospital that contributes significantly to humanitarian relief efforts in the Republic of Turkey and is equipped to conduct major and complex operations.
