PIFA, Technology – WhatsApp is testing the message editing feature in beta for iOS. This feature allows users to edit messages within 15 minutes of sending.

This feature is very useful for users who often make typing mistakes or forget to include important information in their WhatsApp messages.

However, messages that are not compatible with the WhatsApp version will be labeled “unsupported messages”, and users will need to update their version of the app to use this feature.

While the edit message feature currently only allows users to edit text messages, WhatsApp is planning to introduce a second version of this feature which will also allow users to edit media captions such as photos.

Users also don’t have to worry about secretly edited messages, because edited messages will display a special mark beside them.

Apart from that, WhatsApp has also fixed a crash in the previous version which prevented users from playing videos in chats and statuses in the WhatsApp beta update for iOS 23.4.0.70.

So, users who want to test the message editing feature can update their app to the latest version in the App Store or TestFlight.

With this message editing feature, WhatsApp offers a better user experience and reduces the possibility of errors in communication via text messages. (b)
