For several hours, an extremely strong wind has been blowing in Sofia, which took its first victim. A huge tree fell on a car in Pavlovo district, Sofia24.bg saw.

According to an eyewitness, the tree is taller than the nearest block of flats, which is 5 stories high. It was a protected species and therefore the plot was not built on.

There is damage from the wind all over Sofia, as in addition to fallen trees and branches, there are also knocked down fences and sheet metal. Citizens need to be especially careful about hanging cables and falling objects, meteorologists warn.
