First he discovered that someone had allegedly broken in and stolen money from his small sushi restaurant, then a fire broke out right next to his home in the center of Kragerø.
– It is the worst day of my life, Vu Le tells Dagbladet.
Le says that several thousand kroner and expensive wine have been taken from the restaurant and the family has been evacuated from their home in the center of Kragerø. Local newspaper Kragerø Blad Vestmar mentioned the matter first.
At 02:00 on the night of Sunday, the fire was still going on.
Robbed
The long and difficult day for Vu Le started when he came to work at the sushi restaurant in Kragerø.
He says that he then discovered that someone allegedly robbed the restaurant during the night and came away with several thousand kroner and expensive wine.
On Facebook, he has shared a photo of the empty cash register and is asking people who may have seen something to come forward.
– My wife and I have been working 10-12 hours every day to make ends meet during this difficult time. Every penny is worth something to us. If any of our neighbors have seen anyone, please let us know, he writes.
The post has received a number of comments from customers expressing support for the restaurant. He called the police himself and is said to have been told to report the matter on Monday.

But the day was far from over with that. Because in the middle of the job shift, his colleague noticed a lot of smoke outside.
It came from the fire that had started in the center of Kragerø. Vu Le immediately thought of the family who live across the street from where the fire was raging.
– When I came home from work there was a lot of smoke and after only a few minutes there were a lot of flames. It is scary. It was a full fire, many firefighters and complete chaos, he says.
When Dagbladet spoke to Vu Le, the flames had not spread to his house.

Vu Le, his wife, two children and two dogs evacuated and have now been given shelter at Kragerø station for the night. And a long and difficult day is coming to an end.
– You come to work and discover that you have lost a lot of money and then I am not allowed to come home and do not know when I will come home. All on the same day. It is completely wild, he says.
He says the children are sad.
– We are all tired and weary. We try to keep our spirits up and stay calm.
At the same time, he sends a thought to the owner of the shop where the fire was first discovered.
– My thoughts go out to her. I know her well. Although I am having a very difficult time today, my thoughts go out to her.

No one is allowed to move home
Around 01:00 Kragerø municipality updated the evacuees that they would not be able to move home tonight.
Nor could the fire service say anything about when they think they have the situation under control.
– We will be working on this for many hours to come. This will last the whole night, in addition the after-extinguishing will take place on Sunday, says Fire Chief Morten Meen Gallefos to NTB.
