Direct speech: “I am very glad that now the system is operating in a deficit-free mode, the third week has already begun since the production of electricity fully meets the consumption. We have the appropriate reserves.

We plan to continue to support the energy system in such a way that people do not feel supply restrictions, so I really hope that in the near future we will not need limits at all for the regions in terms of electricity consumption.”

Details: Answering the question whether in this case Ukraine is considering the possibility of resuming electricity exports, the minister said: “This issue is on the table now. We used imports, this is a very important mechanism to increase electricity in our state. If we see a stable electricity surplus in the system Of course, the issue of export will be considered, but now the key thing for us is to restore power supply to the regions where there are still damage to the networks.”

Galushchenko noted that Ukraine went through the most difficult heating season in history, during which about 50% of the energy system was hit by Russian troops.

What came before: As of the morning of Saturday, February 25, electricity consumption has decreased slightly due to the weekend, there is no power shortage in the system, however, due to significant damage, hourly shutdowns are still in effect in Odessa.
