The body of a 28-year-old model from Hong Kong was found dismembered in a freezer.
According to authorities, the brutal murder occurred after a financial dispute between the woman and her ex-husband’s family. Four people have been arrested for the murder.
The remains of well-known influencer Abby Choi were found in a farmhouse that had been turned into a slaughterhouse, CNA reports.
“We are still looking for the victim’s head,” said Alan Chung of the Hong Kong police.
The woman’s limbs were found in a refrigerator.
The house where the remains were found was equipped with an electric saw and a meat grinder, which was used to grind human flesh.
“In the house we found two pots of stew, which we assume is made of human tissue,” the police said.
Abby Choi’s ex-husband, Kwong, 28, was arrested this afternoon. He tried to escape the city by boat.
A day earlier, Kwong’s father, mother and older brother were also arrested. The four are accused of murder.
The influencer was reported missing on Wednesday.
She was allegedly last seen by her ex-husband’s brother, who also worked as her driver. According to the South China Morning Post, it is believed that the two were on their way to collect her daughter. She was reported missing after not picking up the child.
The house where Choi’s remains were found was recently rented and unfurnished.
