Influencers and TV profile Emilie Nereng (27) and her boyfriend Michael Hansson (32) have worked from twelve in the morning until five at night to put together the last remnants of Nereng’s big project.
She tells Se og Hør that it took much longer than she thought, but now it seems that the project will soon be finished.
Shouting big news: – My God!
In 2021, Nereng bought a cabin plot, where she was going to build her very own cabin.
Reached 100,000 people
On the night of Sunday, she shared an Instagram story where we got to see the cabin before and after it has been decorated. It is a modern cabin with a high ceiling and large windows.
– It was fun to see that the story I posted on Instagram reached 100,000 people. It’s not that often you do that on story.
The cottage site is located at Lygna, just an hour and a quarter from Oslo. It suits Nereng perfectly, she says, as she is not particularly fond of driving long distances by car. The influencer envisions using the cabin a lot, and then it’s good to be able to drive there and back on the same day.
– My dream is to get up in the morning, take a ski trip, and sit down to work afterwards.
But that dream probably does not only contain Nereng.
Help from the girlfriend
She has been with her boyfriend Michael for four months, and he is happily helping to move into the cabin.
– Pretty sick of it
– It has been a demanding project. I don’t feel like we’ve had a weekend.
The pair worked late into the night this weekend to get as much done as possible, and Nereng can now announce that there are only a few pipes, a lamp and a remote control left until everything is ready.
– We have been very efficient, with a clear division of responsibilities. He has been responsible for most of the assembly, while I have been mostly involved in decorating and tidying up cupboards, which I am best at, Nereng says with a laugh, and adds:
– We haven’t been together that long, but I quickly found out that he was a “handyman”.
Expenses alone
Nereng says that it has been a time-consuming process to find out whether she could afford to buy a cabin on her own, but that she has been good at saving and making bargains.
Reveals damage: – Extremely swollen
– I have tried to furnish everything at once, so that I have the least possible expenses associated with it later.
At the same time, Nereng also has a small financial plan in store.
– Since I have so many expenses alone, I also thought I could rent out the cabin for a bit. I know there are many people who don’t buy a cabin, who might consider renting. You have to be a little economical.
– Does your boyfriend plan to buy into the cabin?
– If I can rent it out for a bit, I can own it alone. But I have no need to own it alone either, so we’ll see what we do eventually. We’ve only been together for four months, and it’s only natural to live together for a while before he buys into the cabin.
