Mortal Kombat 12 could be released later this year. According to information revealed at an internal Warner Games conference, to present the latest financial data and project the coming months, the next title of the famous fighting franchise should hit consoles in 2023.
There is still not much information, only the moments below, where an executive, apparently closing the presentation, says that there is still “much more to come, such as the long-awaited Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad, games also projected for release in 2023 and with great sales expectations”.
It is worth remembering that, at the beginning of last year, Jonathan Andersen, the studio’s senior production manager, ended up showing an email talking about the game in a post made on Twitter – quickly deleted shortly afterwards. However, nothing has been officially revealed about Mortal Kombat 12 for now.
Late last year, Ed Boon, legendary producer behind the franchise, indicated that MK12 or Injustice 3 would be NetherRealm’s next title. It seems, therefore, that the decision was for a new edition of the deadliest Kombat on the planet.
Mortal Kombat 12 has not been officially announced
It is worth noting, however, that the game has not been officially announced. The information came from an internal WB presentation, and there was no confirmation to the public of the existence of the title. Let’s just hope this happens soon, preferably with a trailer, right?
Shortly after the news started running on social media, the term Mortal Kombat 12 quickly entered the most talked about topics on twitter.
