Copainalá, Chiapas.- The Secretary of Health of the State of Chiapas through the Copainalá Health Center, in coordination with the Mezcalapa School of Agricultural Studies of the UNACH, started the 2023 canine and feline anti-rabies vaccination campaign in the Copainalá neighborhoods , seeks to prevent rabies virus and its transmission to humans.
Oscar Ribero Gómez, head of the Copainalá Health Center, commented that this campaign aims to prevent the risks of the rabies virus and avoid transmission in humans.
“The intention is to apply 1,200 doses aimed at the pets that live here in the header. The requirements are that the pets are over 3 months old, that they are in optimal health conditions and that they are not in the process of gestation”, indicated Ribero Gómez.
In the campaign, brigade members from the Autonomous University of Chiapas, Health Center were deployed, who, duly identified, will make house-to-house visits with the aim of applying the scheduled doses during the 2023 canine and feline anti-rabies vaccination campaign in the municipality of Copainalá.
