Yes, because that’s only for YouTube Premium Lite. That means no background play, YouTube Music Premium, and no downloads either.
I understand the price for something like Netflix, they make their own productions, buy licenses, but YouTube rests almost entirely on content makers. They do get paid, but the revenue model is different.
In addition, all those subscriptions personally drive me crazy: ViaPlay, Netflix, Kijk, NPO Plus, Ziggo Sport, ESPN .. just add them all together.
I think a little advertising is fine, but not to the extent that YT is showing it now.
