Skepticism was indeed a rational response when I saw Avalanche’s presentation regarding Hogwarts Legacy a few months ago. It looks too beautiful, too detailed, and too exciting to exist, as if it is seriously being worked on to fulfill the wet dreams of many gamers who love the Harry Potter novels and films. Apart from the controversy that occurred, fortunately it ended up being a video game that we have been waiting for for a long time. The good news? Those qualities also translate to fantastic sales figures.
We all know about the fantastic Hogwarts Legacy data on Steam which managed to attract hundreds of thousands of users on the first day of its release. So, what about other platforms? Even though the publisher – WB Games has not shared exact figures, they openly admit that they are satisfied with the performance of this one game release. This was revealed by the president of WB Games – David Haddad who also said he was satisfied with the number of player engagements created. Hogwarts Legacy is said to have accumulatively accumulated around 267 million hours played with around 1.25 billion Dark Wizards successfully subdued.
Hogwarts Legacy itself is currently only available for the latest generation of consoles and PCs. With the previous generation version as well as the Nintendo Switch not yet available on the market, it’s not impossible that this number will skyrocket. How about you? Have you enjoyed your adventure in this magical world?
