Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) prices will increase. LCGC car is a program to develop the production of inexpensive and environmentally friendly motorized vehicles, by providing facilities in the form of sales tax relief on luxury goods (PPnBM).
Not 5%, the Head of Sub-Directorate for Land Transportation Equipment Industry, Directorate of Maritime Industry, Transportation Equipment, and Defense Equipment (IMATAP) of the Ministry of Industry, Dodiet Prasetyo, said the increase in the price of LCGC cars was IDR 5 million.
“(Increase) Rp. 5 million. PPnBM remains 3%,” he said at the Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, Thursday (23/2/2023).
Price increase LCGC car will be regulated through a letter of approval from the Minister of Industry. Regarding when this increase will take effect, he said it could be checked at the manufacturer. “Later you can check the price, there will be a price increase from the industry later,” he said.
The reasons for the industry to raise prices are due to inflation, rising prices of raw materials, rising prices of metals, plastics, rubber, and so on. The same thing was previously conveyed by the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
He said the price adjustment was driven by various factors, mainly the increase in production costs. This condition was driven by rising prices of raw materials to logistics costs.
“The language is not price increases but adjustments. We understand that the cost of production, especially in raw materials, must be increased, logistics costs must also be adjusted,” said Agus.
The types of cars that belong to this LCGCincluding Toyota’s cars, namely Agya and Calya, then Astra Daihatsu Ayla, to Honda Brio.
Quoted from the Toyota Astra website, the New Toyota Agya G Type (Spot Order) is priced starting at IDR 159.7 million. If the price rises by IDR 5 million, the price will be around IDR 164.7 million.
Meanwhile, for the New Calya E Type, it is currently priced at IDR 161.7 million. If it goes up by IDR 5 million, the price will be IDR 166.7 million.
Furthermore, as quoted from the official website of Astra Daihatsu, the New Ayla is currently priced at IDR 115.55 million. If it increases by Rp. 5 million, the price will be Rp. 120.55 million.
