Three buses with 100-150 school pupils crashed on Thursday in Dalarna in Sweden. One person is seriously injured, reports SVT.
The three buses were transporting pupils from a high school in the Stockholm area who were on their way to a skiing holiday.
A bus driver was trapped and is said to have suffered serious injuries.
Several students who suffered minor injuries were taken to two different hospitals and an emergency room. According to the police, it is mostly about injuries.
The accident happened on Thursday morning in Hedemora when a bus drove into another, which created a domino effect so that the third bus was also involved. The roadway on the site is described as an “ice rink” by the bus drivers, according to their employer.
The accident led to a complete standstill in both directions on national highway 70.
At about the same time, it was reported that two buses had collided in the neighboring municipality of Avesta further south on the same highway, but no injuries were reported here.
