The President of Ukraine conveyed the appeal to the government and instructed the Prime Minister to ensure the “principles of justice” for the military.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky considered an electronic petition demanding the return of previously canceled cash bonuses to the military. Zelensky’s response on Tuesday, February 22, published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Thus, the head of state submitted the petition for consideration to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. According to the president, today “in order to ensure social justice in terms of stimulating military personnel,” the Cabinet of Ministers has taken a number of measures to differentiate the amount of remuneration depending on the place, conditions and characteristics of service in the formations of the security and defense forces of Ukraine. Therefore, bonuses of 30 and 100 thousand hryvnias will depend on the areas where the military personnel are located, as well as the complexity and specifics of the combat missions they perform.

“I turned to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal with a request to comprehensively work out the issues raised in the electronic petition, paying special attention to ensuring proper social protection of military personnel and observing the principles of justice to stimulate the military personnel of the security and defense forces of Ukraine directly involved in hostilities. About the results consideration of the issues raised, the author of the electronic petition will be informed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine,” the President replied.
