Arsenal’s new player Jorginho nice to team up with Granit Xhaka. Jorginho now has a different impression of his new partner.
The Italy international midfielder crossed from Chelsea for fellow London club, Arsenal, on the last day of the January transfer window. Jorginho was bought in a deal of around £12 million and agreed to a one-and-a-half year contract.
With this move Jorginho must now work hand in hand with Xhaka in midfield the Gunners. Even though the two players had previously elbowed each other in the London Derby for the last few years.
Jorginho made an impressive gesture Granit Xhaka at the start of his arrival at Arsenal. The Brazilian midfielder revealed that Xhaka is a good person off the field.
“Yes, I’m happy. We used to clash several times on the field, but off the field he is a very good person and we laugh together now,” said Jorginho.
“Off the pitch I asked him the other day where I could have dinner nearby and he made an order for me and didn’t let me pay. So I’m really grateful for that. He’s a really nice guy and I’m happy because I can see another part of him.”
Jorginho has played three times for Arsenal. The Brazilian blooded player played a major role in the important win over Aston Villa 4-2 at the weekend when forcing goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to score an own goal in injury time.
The result returned the Gunners to the top of the Premier League table by two points from Manchester City and still have one game in hand. Furthermore Jorginho along Xhaka will try to help Arsenal continue this positive momentum when they visit Leicester City at the weekend.
