In an indescribable terrifying incident, a pilot continued his flight by piloting his plane after he thought his co-pilot was joking when he leaned back dozing, until lightning struck.

The assistant had died in the cockpit, shortly after take-off in Blackpool, England.

However, the pilot thought his fellow flight instructor was pretending to be asleep when he turned his head back and closed his eyes, confirming that he suspected that the 57-year-old was taking a nap, and the thunderbolt occurred.

After the flight arrived, the assistant remained lying on his shoulder after the plane landed and did not respond, so the pilot then realized that something was wrong, and pointed to the medical staff who were working in the waiting area, and they came to help.

Until an autopsy concluded that the assistant had died of acute heart failure.

Lessons from the incident

While the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) investigated the accident so that the incident could be a lesson.

The report found that the coach who died had passed the medical examination four months earlier.

It stated that the pilot was able to land the plane safely, but the outcome could have been different.
