Mikati intervenes to stop investigations in the banking case

Central – The Prosecutor General of Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, appealed to the international authorities in the European Parliament to help defend the rule of law, noting that “Prime Minister Najib Mikati is flagrantly interfering with justice in order to stop the investigations that he conducted in the case of banks and money laundering.”

Judge Aoun recalled that “Mikati’s intervention came by asking the Minister of Interior, Bassam Mawlawi, not to implement the orders of the Public Prosecutor of Mount Lebanon.”
