Julian Draxler injured his left ankle and that is why he is no longer on the squad for last Monday’s game against Boavista (3-1), at Estádio da Luz, for the Championship.
Although the exact severity of the injury is still unknown, it is certain that the German striker will also miss at least next Saturday’s game, when traveling to Vizela, also for the League.
Draxler, remember, is at Benfica on loan from PSG until the end of this season, but has not been able to find space in the team and it is understood that he will return to Paris when the transfer ends; even because he earns a lot and Benfica can’t pay him.
Draxler, 29 years old, has 18 games with the eagles, 763 minutes of competition. He scored two goals.
The Serbian left-back Mihailo Ristic remains in the eagles’ medical report, who is recovering from an injury to his left thigh. He is also unlikely to recover for the game in Vizela.
