Today, Wednesday, is the birthday of the artist Nadia Ezzat As she was born on February 22, 1938, her real name is Buthaina Ibrahim Hegazy, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
She began her cinematic career in 1959 by playing the role of “Fathiye” in the movie “Dreams of Girls”, after which she played small roles, including “Teenage Girls”, “Virgin’s Remains” and “The Madmen in Naim”.
Then she played the role of “Fahima” in the movie “The Idol of the Masses” in 1967, and the role became a milestone in her artistic career, as she played the character of the farmer who claims to be the wife of Ibrahim “Abdel Halim Hafez” and tries to separate him from his beloved Suhair “Shadia”, then she rolled Her artistic works include the movie “A Warning to Obedience”, “The Student and the Professor”, “Watch Out, Husbands”, “No, You Who Were My Love” and “The Might of a Woman”, in addition to some series, including “Diaries of Wanis” and “The Family of Professor Shalash” and “ Money and Sons, and her latest artistic work is the radio series “The Story of My Love” and the seventh part of the series “Wanis and His Days”.
The late Nadia Ezzat said, in a rare interview about her participation in the movie “Idol of the Masses”, that she regretted this role, because of people’s hatred of this character, but this movie became an important sign in her cinematic life.
