German football club RB Leipzig cannot count on striker Christopher Nkunkum in the starting line-up for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Manchester City.
The 25-year-old Frenchman did not have time to recover sufficiently from the injury to the ligaments in his knee. Nkunku was injured in November and missed the World Cup in Qatar. Over the weekend, he started for 21 minutes in the league match against Wolfsburg (3:0) and scored an assist, but due to renewed problems, he did not finish Tuesday’s training session. “After the meeting with Wolfsburg, he had a muscle reaction and will not start.
