Media – Staff cuts at the “Kleine Zeitung”

At the “Kleine Zeitung” from the Styria Verlag, the employees were informed on Monday about a package of savings. According to reports, seven positions in the editorial department are to be eliminated, and a further eight people are to be given other tasks. Departments could be dissolved or merged.

In addition, further savings are planned, for example in energy and advertising. Savings have also been made on the size of the newspaper for a long time.

The “Kleine Zeitung” is the market leader in Styria and is also published in Carinthia. In addition to the main editorial offices in Graz and Klagenfurt, the newspaper operates 18 regional editorial offices in Carinthia, Styria and East Tyrol.
