Scientists find out A rare binary star system It may explode and fill space with gold, as it is “one in 10 billion”, to the extent that it is believed that only 10 of this type exist in our entire galaxy, and experts in the United States say that this duo has all the right conditions to launch a distinctive explosion at the end when it merges. , creating an explosion 1,000 times brighter than starburst ordinary.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, this explosion will produce a bright flash of radiant light that produces large quantities of important elements such as silver, gold, platinum and uranium in space.

The unusual star cluster, known as CPD-29 2176, is located about 11,400 light-years from Earth and was first identified by NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, which was launched into space in 2004.

Follow-up observations using the 1.5-meter SMARTS telescope at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile allowed astronomers to confirm that the system will one day form a distinct ejection, because they see it contains a neutron star, as well as a nearby massive star on its way to that ends.

These are massive explosions caused by neutron stars colliding with each other, sending an intense jet of high-energy particles through space.

The researchers hope their discovery will help unlock the mystery of how such “kilonova” explosions form, which in turn will shed light on the source of the heaviest elements in the universe.
