DARMSTADT. (red). Once again, a senior citizen in Darmstadt has become the victim of con artists. As the police informed on Tuesday, two men rang the bell at an apartment building on Kittlerstrasse on Monday afternoon. When a 78-year-old opened up to them, they pretended to be tradesmen tasked with checking the water pipes. In good faith, the woman allowed the two strangers to enter. While one of the men engaged the lady in conversation, his companion was looking for prey. When the duo left the apartment, the 78-year-old noticed her jewelry was missing.
