A British athlete’s calf has been revealed and is shocking.

This is because he posted a video on social media showing how his calf dented whenever he pressed his finger.

The cause of these symptoms was found to be ‘cellulitis’.

The New York Post recently reported that a video uploaded by Laurence Okoye, former NFL player and British Olympic national team member, through his video platform ‘TikTok’ account at the end of last year recorded about 8.5 million views.

The released video shows Okoye pressing his shin with his thumb.

However, each time you press it, the shape of your finger remains. In general, it is common to recover right away when you press your finger, but it looks like it is not recovering as it is.

In response, Okoye said, “It seems to be clay.”

Regarding these symptoms, Netizel made various guesses such as heart disease, liver disease, and kidney disease.

However, Okoye was diagnosed with cellulitis two weeks later.

He explained, “Bacteria have invaded the wound caused by injuring my leg a few weeks ago,” and “the holes in my leg no longer exist.”

Cellulitis is an acute bacterial infection caused by the infiltration of bacteria such as hemolytic streptococcus A and Staphylococcus aureus into the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The infected area becomes red and swollen, causing pain and fever, followed by blisters or pus.

If not treated in time, skin necrosis may occur, and complications such as sepsis, suppurative arthritis, and osteomyelitis may occur.

In particular, this cellulitis is often infected by athletes. This is because it is difficult for players to change sneakers or socks during games or training even if they sweat, so the skin on their feet can easily get sore.
