Kochi: Actress Manju Varrier has again appeared in the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court for the hearing of a witness in the case of kidnapping and torturing the actress to shoot defamatory scenes as per the citation. The prosecution has completed its trial and the defense has started its trial, but it could not be completed yesterday. Actor Dileep’s lawyer will cross-examine Manju today.
The statement of Manju, who is the 34th witness in the case, was recorded in the first phase of the hearing. Dilip approached the Supreme Court against the re-examination of a witness who had been examined once in a case, but the plea was rejected, and Manju was started to be examined again yesterday.
A final decision has not been taken on the demand that another witness in the case, director P. Balachandrakumar, should be examined in Thiruvananthapuram. The court has been informed along with the medical report that Balachandra Kumar, who is sick, has difficulty in walking.
