A fire broke out this Tuesday, February 21 around 1:50 p.m., in an apartment located rue des Bouleaux, in Apach. It was a resident of this collective of twelve apartments who gave the alert, challenged by the sounds emanating from the fire alarm of a ground floor apartment. Once there, the firefighters of Sierck-les-Bains and Yutz discovered that a fire, a priori of electrical origin, was smoldering in the living room and whose smoke had spread to all the rooms. .
The apartment was empty at the time: the occupants, a family of four, including two children, are currently on vacation. Given the damage caused subsequently, they will have to be relocated. “We are actively looking for a solution to bring them”, testifies the mayor, Émilie Villain, who indicates that the two children of the couple are educated in the town. The other tenants were evacuated during the intervention of the firefighters, but were able to return to their homes as soon as it was completed. The fire did no damage to the building or even to the outbuildings.
