Jean-Baptiste Lemoye (UMP) elected in the first round in the canton of Gâtinais-en Bourgogne

The duo led by UMP senator Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne was well ahead of the frontist duo in the canton of Gâtinais-en-Bourgogne. This victory in the first round is not a surprise.

Results:

  • GREMY Delphine (DVD) and LEMOYNE Jean-Baptiste (UMP) – 59.21%
  • BIGUET Nathalie (FN) and MOREL Jean-Pierre (FN) – 40.79%

With only two pairs in the running, it was mathematically logical that the election ended in the first round with the victory of Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and his running mate Delphine Gremy.

On the strength of this success, the UMP senator could feel his wings grow and run for the presidency of the general council. If Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne has not yet spoken, his name appears regularly in the list of suitors.

For his part, the outgoing President André Villiers (UDI), who is ahead of the National Front in the canton of Joux-la-Ville, has already announced that in the event of victory, he would be a candidate for his own succession.
