Jakarta –
The 2023 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) exhibition will be enlivened by a number of new battery electric vehicles (BEV) electric cars. Interestingly, there are electric cars whose prices are close to gasoline cars.
IIMS 2023 will continue until February 26, 2023. Some of the electric cars on display at the auto show have already been sold or are still only being introduced to the public.
First, DFSK, an automotive brand from China, exhibited several electric car lines such as the E3, Mini EV, and the EC31 electric pickup. Currently, DFSK is only selling Gelora E, which has been produced locally at a price of IDR 350 million.
In addition, Mitsubishi, which is the first Japanese manufacturer to produce electric cars, is showing off the MiEV Minicab. But this light commercial car has not been released to the general public.
Before being produced in Indonesia, the Minicab-MiEV was used for study activities with five partners in Indonesia. In the Jakarta area, studies were conducted with PT Pos Indonesia, PT Haleyora Power, Gojek as part of the GoTo Group, and DHL Supply Chain Indonesia. Meanwhile for the Bali area, it has been carried out on the EV Joint Project agenda to support the operations of one of the companies engaged in supporting tourism, namely Be Sanur.
One brand that has stolen the attention is Esemka Bima EV. For the first time participating in an international-scale automotive exhibition, Esemka immediately sold the Bima EV at a price of Rp. 530 million for the Cargo Van version, while the passenger van version with 11 seats was priced at Rp. 540 million.
Wuling is still the cheapest electric car brand marketed in Indonesia. Through Wuling Air ev, a compact electric car that sells for IDR 200 million.

The price for the full Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) electric car is close to the price of the Toyota bZ4X, which was just released in Indonesia recently, with a market price of IDR 1.190 billion.
Hyundai, as a pioneer of local electric cars in Indonesia, will enliven the IIMS 2023 floor by presenting the Ioniq 5. As is known, electric cars are sold from Rp. 748 million to Rp. 859 million.
