Renault Clio 2023: restyling, engines, release, video

It is a profound and impactful restyling, the one that the Renault Clio will show during this year. A first taste, which in fact fully reveals the characteristics of the facelift, at least as regards the front, comes via Twitter from a user who posted a video shot in the center of Valencia, Spain. The images show the French compact flanked by another vehicle equipped with cameras: in all likelihood the car was pinched during the filming of a commercial or an official video.

Signed Vidal. A surprising aspect is that, in this mid-career restyling (the current generation was in fact launched in 2019), the Clio 5 does not focus so much on the family feeling with the recent Régie models (see the Austral) but rather resembles a model that has yet to come out: it is the future Renault Scénic, prefigured last year by the concept Scenic Vision. Precisely from the latter, the Renault Clio restyling takes up the luminous signature, characterized by thin headlights and, below, two LED elements placed vertically that converge towards the grille. A solution that radically changes the look of the car, making it almost appear like a new model, also because it involves a significant redesign of the lower part of the front, in correspondence with the bumper. The design clearly bears the signature of Gilles Vidal, who Luca De Meo, with his arrival at Boulogne-Billancout, “snatched” from Peugeot to put him in charge of the Régie style.
