Catalina García chairs the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Andalusian Patient Safety Strategy
The Minister of Health and Consumption of the Junta de Andalucía, Catalina García, chaired this Monday the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Patient Safety Strategy of the Public Health System of Andalusia (ESSPA). At said meeting, the activities carried out so far by ESSPA have been assessed and the priority lines of action for 2023 have been approved.

The Minister of Health and Consumption of the Junta de Andalucía, Catalina García, chaired this Monday the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Patient Safety Strategy of the Public Health System of Andalusia (ESSPA). At said meeting, the activities carried out so far by ESSPA have been assessed and the priority lines of action for 2023 have been approved.
Catalina García has considered patient safety to be of vital importance, not only for the patients themselves, but also for healthcare professionals. “We must continue to take steps to ensure that Andalusians have access to high-quality and safe medical care,” she pointed out.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Minister of Health and Consumption, Miguel Ángel Guzmán; the General Secretary for Humanisation, Planning, Social and Health Care and Consumption, María Luisa del Moral; the general director of Public Health and Pharmaceutical Regulation, Jorge del Diego; the general director of Health Care and Health Results of the SAS, Luis Martínez; the director of the Andalusian Patient Safety Strategy, Eva Moreno, and the secretary of the Patient Safety Strategy Steering Committee, Carmen Lama.
