The Basque Country has registered seven deaths from covid-19 in the last week, four more than in the previous seven days. People hospitalized with this disease stood at 64 this Sunday, which is 12 less than a week ago, and patients in the Intensive Care Units (ICU) drop to six, two less, according to data made public this Monday by the Department of Health of the Basque Government.
The latest bulletin on the epidemiological situation of covid-19 in the Basque Country, corresponding to the week between February 13 and 19, records 195 covid positives among the population over 60 years of age, 34 fewer than the previous week. but the cumulative incidence rate in 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants increases to 55.45 (54.42 the previous week).
In this group, the rate ratio, which compares the current 14-day cumulative incidence rate with that of a week ago, drops to 1.02, compared to 1.13 in the previous report.
HOSPITALS
In Basque hospitals there are, at the end of the week, 58 people hospitalized on the ward, ten less than the previous Sunday, and patients in the ICUs drop to six, compared to eight in the previous balance. The average number of new daily admissions to the plant during the last week has been six patients with covid.
