WhatsApp users will now receive a new warning message when forwarding media such as images or videos. The background: In Messenger, the messages attached to media have recently been sent along with forwarding. Previously, these were automatically deleted.
Anyone who now forwards a file will receive the following warning as a pop-up: “From now on, media will be forwarded together with the caption”. However, this can also be removed before sending.
For users, this means: If a file is to be forwarded to a contact, you should first check whether the caption can also be seen by the contact.
