Valentine’s Day was not only a good occasion to offer chocolates but also served to various announcements. One of them is about the next Joker movie coming out. next year. Todd Phillips, director of the film, gave us more details on what he has in store for the DC villain’s next film and has confirmed the doubts from the community.
Lady Gaga in a Joker movie?
Rumors have been swirling for some time now as Lady Gaga had announced the release date of the second film of the Joker: Folie à deux. A trailer that left little room for doubt as to the role that the singer was going to interpret. Lady Gaga should indeed take on the role of Dr. A.S. Harleen Quinzel, later known as Harley Quinn.
In a Valentine’s Day post, Todd Phillips took away any shred of doubt from fans with an image where the singer and Phoenix Joaquin, Joker actor are very (very) close.
Fans can therefore expect a duet between Lady Gaga and Phoenix Joaquin for this new story of the DC villain.
Joker: Folie à deux, already a successful film?
The first Joker movie was an outright success for DC. The license on which we often joke has however seen very good figures with the release of Joker. For a budget the 60 million dollars, Joker first of the name to generated more than a billion dollars, heck of a payback for the super villain.
With the arrival of Folie à deux, two elements could well indicate that the film has every chance when it comes to defeating his big brother. First of all the success of the first film, it would seem, left a rather positive image with the fans. The various messages of Todd Phillips are often well received and the hype seems present for the second film.
The second element is of course the presence of a superstar like Lady Gaga. The announcement of the film’s release date on her networks was already a very nice marketing campaign and one can easily imagine that many of her fans will head to black rooms to enjoy the performance of the singer.
Scheduled for October 4, 2024 we may still receive a lot of teasers on the presence of Lady Gaga in the Joker and the impact on the figures it could have.
