Apple’s head of product and marketing Xander Soren has now left the company after more than 20 years, reports 9 to 5 Mac. Xander Soren started at Apple in 2001 and will leave in November 2022, according to information on the site.
Xander Soren has described himself as one of the co-creators of the music program Garageband, which was released in 2004. The program was developed under the direction of Gerhard Lengeling, who joined Apple after the company bought the audio company Emagic.
During his years at Apple, Xander Soren held several different positions, the most recent of which was “Director of Product Marketing for Pro Apps”. In addition to Garageband, he has also worked on Ipod, Ilife, Itunes, Logic Pro, Voice Messages and was involved in producing the first iPhone ringtones.
