The American technology company, Meta Platforms, announced the addition of a new feature for communication between content producers and followers, called “Channels”, to its Instagram social networking platform. The new feature allows content producers on Instagram to send messages to their followers collectively and directly. The Channels feature supports sending texts, images, polls, emojis, and more. TechCrunch, which specializes in technology issues, indicated that Instagram has started testing the new feature with a limited number of users in the United States and intends to expand its publication on a larger scale in the coming months.
