According to American estimates, the Russian armed forces have lost about 200,000 people since the start of the war in Ukraine nearly a year ago, said US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, quoted by DPA.
He pointed out that this number includes both the killed and the wounded.
A day ago, the White House said that the Russian private military company Wagner alone had lost more than 30,000 people in Ukraine.
At the same time, the price for Russia is not limited to military casualties, Blinken emphasized at the Munich Security Conference. He noted that “over one million Russians have left their country because they do not want to be part of this war and do not agree with the direction it has taken.”
In addition, at least 1,000 companies have stopped doing business in Russia because they fear it would damage their image, the US Secretary of State added, quoted by BTA.
