Fire in commercial building in Singsås – buildings in the area are evacuated
The emergency services went out on Saturday evening after reports of a fire in a commercial building in Singsås in Midtre Gauldal.
The building, where there is a cafe, has been set on fire.
All persons must have got out of the building.
Residents in the vicinity are being evacuated following information that there is acetylene gas in the building which is burning.
– Evacuation is underway because there is a risk of explosion in connection with the fire, says operations manager Øystein Volden at the police in Trøndelag to NRK.
The Norwegian Road Traffic Center reports that county road 30 is closed due to the fire, as the building is located near the road.
