Last year, Samsung canceled the launch of the Galaxy S22 FE due to a raging chip shortage, which was a sad but understandable decision on the part of the manufacturer. However, according to the latest rumors, the South Korean company has not given up on Fan Edition mobile phones for good, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is said to debut in the second half of this year.
A The Elec according to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE may launch sometime around August or September. The first Fan Edition smartphone was the Galaxy S20 FE (if the later FE edition of the recalled Note 7 is not taken into account), of which 10 million copies were sold in 2020, the year of its arrival alone. Unfortunately, the sequel, i.e. the Galaxy S21 FE, was no longer so bright, which made Samsung managers unsure about the future of the series. And last year we didn’t even get a new model, but this is supposedly not the end.
According to the new report, the company would rather sacrifice the Galaxy A74, whose arrival is not worth expecting, and instead launch the Galaxy S23 FE in even more regions. It has been heard for a long time that Samsung is redesigning the Galaxy A series and saying goodbye to models with serial number 7. If these reports are not wrong, then the Galaxy S23 FE will try to fill the gap caused by their absence.
It is still too early to talk about hardware specifications, but the smartphone will probably be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy – this variant with an increased clock rate developed specifically for the South Korean company – or last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which still provides significant performance chipset may be responsible, but for now this is just speculation. Most likely, many people would be happy with another FE model, so we are curious to see what the manufacturer is up to.
