112 news: farm destroyed by fire • pickpockets arrested

Two men were arrested yesterday on suspicion of pickpocketing in the center of Breda. Around nine o’clock last night it hit the Havermarkt. There, bystanders caught a 38-year-old man from The Hague who had probably stolen a phone from someone just before. He is suspected of having rolled another victim from her phone.

Around half past ten last night it hit the Havermarkt again. This time a phone was pulled from someone’s hand. Bystanders spoke to the suspect, a 28-year-old man from Budel, after which he returned the phone. Both suspects are in custody pending further investigation.

“Losing your party nose is not that bad. But beware, because pickpockets also like to celebrate carnival,” the police warn.
