The US military is no longer searching for two of the objects shot from the sky, reports The New York Times. The chance that these objects will never be found is therefore “real,” a US official told the newspaper.
It concerns the two objects that were shot down over Alaska and Lake Huron, on the border between Canada and the US. According to the official, it is simply too complicated to find them. The Canadian authorities are still searching the Canadian province of Yukon for the object that was shot there.
The three objects were shot out of the sky in recent weeks after the US military shot down a Chinese ‘spy balloon’. President Joe Biden admitted this week that they were probably harmless balloons from commercial companies or research institutes. He didn’t apologize.
