When one of the most famous American actors, Bruce Willis, retired from acting, his lifelong profession, last April, it was a shock to many. “Suffers from aphasia,” she announced then his daughter Rumer. Aphasia manifests itself in the fact that people stop understanding written text and their thinking and speech are not in harmony, so they often express something different than what they think.
But Willis’s condition worsened in less than a year, and the family now knows why. Bruce Willis suffers from Frontotemporal Dementia, or FTD for short.
