Wait to update Radeon RX 6000 drivers

After the release of the Radeon RX 7000, AMD focused primarily on supporting the new series, so in January there was an outage of drivers for the Radeon RX 6000. One would expect that for a two-year-old series, the omission of one driver would mean nothing – apart from some patches, hardly after two years tuning expect some performance shift.

He came anyway. AMD announced in the graphs a comparison of the performance both with the first driver for the RX 6000 series and with the previous version. Not long after the release, the results of the ray-tracing test in 3DMark appeared, which recorded an incredible almost 40% increase in performance. This also explains the origin of the performance increase in games that mostly use raytracing.

However, the drivers cannot be recommended at this time. For some users, the installer causes problems when the system freezes after installation or problems after a restart, in which only the system restore function helps. So for now, it will be better to wait for AMD to fix the bug.
