It would understandably be very surprising if Xiaomi were to cut one of its most popular product lines, but what appears to be the first clear confirmation that it will look at the market smart bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 8 (probably eventually named as Xiaomi Smart Band 8). The continuation of the highly successful series was registered and thus revealed at the IMDA certification. The product carries a code designation M2239B1 and in the documents it is marked as “smart band”.
The eighth generation of the popular bracelet could be officially shown for the first time sometime in the spring, probably again in May. A few weeks later, it will probably go to global markets, including the Czech one. Considering the intergenerational improvements so far, we can expect from Xiaomi Mi Band 8 / Xiaomi Smart Band 8 bigger display, longer endurance for one charge and perhaps some news in the field of analyzing the user’s activities or health. If I could wish for one improvement, this would be it automatic brightness adjustment. Only the Pro version has this in the seventh generation.
